OLYMPIC bosses are considering hosting alternative events in Tower Hamlets in an attempt to dispel some of the bad feeling over the rerouting of the 2012 marathon, it is believed.

Sources say chairman of the London Organising Committee for the Olympic Games, Seb Coe, is considering trying to appease East Enders who are angry the 26 mile race will no longer go through Tower Hamlets.

It is thought he is in talks with the representatives from the International Olympics Committee, who are currently in London visiting 2012 sporting venues, and my redirect the Olympic torch route through the East End.
