The iconic ‘Traffic Light’ tree that sometimes confused motorists approaching the Westferry roundabout leading onto the Isle of Dogs looks like making a comeback at Canary Wharf.
The multiple-facing assortment of red, amber and green signals have been in storage since they were removed when the two-tier roundabout was redeveloped just over a year ago.
But now Tower Hamlets Council has received a planning application to reinstall the light show artwork at the Trafalgar Way roundabout near Billingsgate Market at the other end of Canary Wharf.
A public consultation is planned by the council at the end of the month.
