Senior police officers are due to meet an opposition councillor next week amid continued allegations of electoral fraud in Tower Hamlets.
Tory group leader Cllr Peter Golds will meet a specialist in electoral fraud on Wednesday as he pushes for more to be done to tackle the problem in the borough.
“I am putting all the evidence on a great big table”, he said.
Cllr Golds insists there was widespread voting fraud during the controversial Spitalfields by-election, which independent candidate Cllr Gulam Robbani won by 43 votes in May last year.
Voting watchdog the Electoral Commission published a report into the investigations earlier this year. It said there was insufficient evidence for prosecutions to be brought, but called for action to “restore trust and confidence” in elections in the borough.
Cllr Golds has previously called for police to set up a specialist unit to deal with electoral fraud.
