Tower Hamlets Council does not know how much money was spent responding to freedom of information requests last year, a freedom of information request has revealed.
Results of an FOI request submitted by the Advertiser into how much was spent responding to requests in the last financial year show that the Town Hall “does not hold this information”.
Officers said expenditure could not be measured accurately because they spend time working between different departments, and different departments are responsible for gathering data for different requests.
“In light of the above, I conclude that the council does not hold the information you requested,” added information governance administrative officer Jane Jones.
