Tower Hamlets Fairness Commission is due to hold its second public meeting on Thursday.
The discussion will focus on the reality of living in Tower Hamlets on a low income, and what can be done to bridge the gap between the rich and poor in the borough. Among those appearing at the event are England Director for the Big Lottery Fund Dharmendra Kanani, founder of the Tax Justice Network Richard Murphy, and representatives of the London Living Wage Campaign.
The Commission was set up in November, and is expected to publish its findings in early summer.
Its latest public meeting will be held from 12.15pm to 6.30pm at the De Vere conference centre in Westferry Circus, Canary Wharf on Thursday, January 31.
