FLIGHTS to and from London City Airport were cancelled on Thursday afternoon after a helicopter made an emergency landing.
The airport reports that the Bell Jet Ranger helicopter declared a full emergency landing at the Royal Docks airport around 3.15pm.
On board was one crew and one passenger who both safely disembarked. It is not yet known where the aircraft had come from.
The runway reopened within an hour, although some services were still being delayed from landing at London City, with afternoon arrivals from the likes of Luxembourg and Amsterdam having to be diverted or cancelled. The delays were likely to ease as the evening went on.
