WELCOME to London’s East End in the snow, with an array of stunning scenes you’ll never forget. East London Advertiser photographer Joe Lord was joined by snappers Olivia Harris and Emma Reynolds with their cameras recording a slice of East End life to see how the kids and grown ups coped with Monday’s Big Freeze.
Joe was in Docklands winter wonderland’ while Olivia caught the mood in Victoria Park with kids enjoying the unexpected day of school. Emma ventured through Bethnal Green (below) where there was too much snow for keen cyclists who had to abandon their bikes and even too much snow for a breakdown recovery truck! Snowmen also made their appearance in the East End in their hundreds.
