Longer trains are being run on the Fenchurch Street network this weekend to help rail passengers get to the Diamond League Anniversary Games and home again.

More passengers expected for the major athletics at the Olympic Park stadium in Stratford.

So c2c rail operators are doubling the number of daytime and evening carriages to and from Southend via Basildon on Saturday and Sunday.

An extra late-night train is also running to Grays via Rainham on Saturday, an hour later than the normal last train.

All weekend engineering work has been suspended while the two-day athletics are on. Extra carriages are also being added on Friday night.
