Victoria Park has once again played hostess to one of the biggest events in London.

Just a month after festival goers invaded the Tower Hamlets park for Field day, it was overrun with music fans for Lovebox festival last weekend.

Thousands stripped down to little more than underwear as the sun blazed over the stages and tents and frazzled the parks grassy plains.

Highlights included the Drum ‘n’ Bass headliners, Chase & Status, who blared out their biggest hits on Friday night with a dazzling display of confetti, sparkles and strobe lights to illustrate the set.

American rapper Nas dedicated his entire set to his debut album, Illmatic.

As the sun-set threw whispers of pink clouds across the sky crowds seemed hyper than ever as he flaunted decades of experience and performed classics like “One Love” and “The World is Yours”.

The talking point of the weekend was MIA’s on stage festival which ensued after the singer inviting crowds to join her in the lime light.

Though, it ended the night with an abrupt bang when the sound cut out and crowds began to boo.

The “Bucky Done Gun” singer did little to hide her frustration as she repeatedly shouted for her mic to be turned up and eventually rushed through her two biggest tunes “Paper Planes” and “Bad Girls” before leaving the stage prematurely.
