THE lucky owner of the unclaimed 69,000 winning Lottery ticket in East London has come forward, the Camelot operators announced today.
The ticket had been unclaimed since it was bought in Newham and scooped the draw on July 15.
“It would have been awful if the ticket-holder had missed out,” said a National Lottery spokesman this-afternoon.
“But we’re delighted they’ve come forward and hope they enjoy their win.”
The winner turned up after an appeal yesterday on the East London Advertiser website and elsewhere.
