A man has been charged with the murder of 21-year-old Beniamin Pieknyi in Stratford Shopping centre.
Detectives on Saturday arrested Vladyslav Yakymchuck, a 22-year-old Ukranian, on suspicion of the murder last Tuesday at the shopping centre in The Broadway.
He was charged yesterday with Beniamin’s murder and has also been charged with three robberies, a theft and possessing a bladed article.
Yakymchuck, who has no fixed address, has been remanded in custody to appear at Thames Magistrates Court on a date to be confirmed.
Policed were called to a disturbance at the centre at 9.30pm on Tuesday, where Beniamin, from Milton Keynes, was found with stab wounds.
He died at the scene an hour later, despite efforts by London Ambulance medics to save him.
