The body of a man who fell to his death into a “deep trench” on a building site in Canary Wharf was found this morning in an incident police have said is “unexplained.”
The man, reportedly found by construction workers, was pronounced dead at the scene and is not thought to be a member of construction staff.
Emergency services were alerted to the incident in Bank Street at 8:46am this morning and police, London Ambulance and London Fire Brigade attended the scene.
The death is not being treated as suspicious at this moment in time.
Police are continuing with their enquiries.
