A man had to be rescued from the Thames off the Isle of Dogs in the early hours of this morning (Wednesday).
Police were called after a member of the public heard his screams off Storers Quay at around 5:40am.
He was found in the water by the air ambulance’s search light before being pulled out of the water by police officers. He was pulled onto Greenwich Pier and taken for treatment at a South London hospital, where he remains.
