Man saved in Thames night rescue after 30ft plunge

POLICE and lifeboat crews rescued a man from the Thames during the night after he plunged 30ft from Tower Bridge. They managed to locate the 50-year-old with searchlights after the alarm was raised at 1am
POLICE and lifeboat crews rescued a man from the Thames during the night after he plunged into the water from Tower Bridge.
A Met Police river patrol from Wapping managed to locate the man with searchlights after the alarm was raised by a passer-by at 1am.
They brought him ashore at Tower Pier where he was treated by paramedics before being taken by ambulance to the Royal London Hospital at Whitechapel.
The 50-year-old had recently discharged himself from hospital and was in a distressed state when he was seen plunging 30ft from the bridge.
