A TEENAGER is in a serious condition after a stabbing in Mile End Road at 1pm today.

Police were called after reports a 19-year-old had been stabbed several times during the attack, which happened near St Clement's Hospital.

Sections of the road were closed off as officers carried out forensic investigations.

Initial reports say a number of people took part in attacking the man, who remains in a serious condition.
