MEMBERS of the Sikh community are marching through London’s East End on Sunday to show the arson attack on their temple will “not be tolerated.”
The committee of the Gudwara Sikh sangat in Harley Grove, Bow, which was destroyed in the fire six weeks ago, is expecting up to 1,500 to take part.
The committee is offering a 50,000 reward following concerns that police weren’t doing enough to catch the arsonist who was spotted in the temple minutes before it went up in flames March 16.
FRUSTRATION
“Our march is to vent our frustration that no-one has been arrested,” said temple trustee Jagmohan Singh.
“It is not only the community in East London that is disappointed, but the whole Sikh community as we regard it as an attack on our religion.
“The culprit needs to be apprehended before another temple goes up in flames.”
