May Day is set to be marked by a traditional fete with a twist this year - as the Maypole is brought to an inner-city car park.
Promising the best of British eccentricity, the fete will see the car park transformed with bunting, flowers and ribbons.
Morris dancers will be on hand to reignite the tradition of the Maypole in Leonard Street, Shoreditch.
On top of the usual May Day traditions, there will be live music, food and drink on offer.
The event is being organised by The Book Club bar, following the success of their Olympic street parties. It will be held on Sunday, May 5.
