Mayor meets faith leaders for Christmas reception

Leaders of faith organisations joined the Mayor of Tower Hamlets, Lutfur Rahman, for a Christmas reception.
The leaders represented a range of faiths and denominations and met to consider new ways to work together.
They were entertained by songs from Bishop Challoner Catholic Collegiate School’s choir and met the winner of the Mayor’s Christmas card design competition, Kaiser Henry.
Mayor Lutfur Rahman said: “Our faith communities play a key role throughout the year in supporting the needy and vulnerable in our community as we work together to create a better Tower Hamlets.
“I believe this partnership between the council and faith groups in Tower Hamlets is vital.
