BORIS Johnson is promoting London as the top choice’ to do business and beat the recession while he visits the World Property conference in Cannes which opened yesterday (Tuesday).

He is pushing investment opportunities boosted by the 2012 Olympics and major projects like Crossrail at the conference which is bringing influential decision-makers together from around the globe.

“I will be shouting from the rooftops that London is the best city in the world to invest in,” Boris said before leaving for Cannes.

“Investors will be spoilt for choice, with the 2012 Games and Crossrail construction ready to start.

“I’ll be telling investors and developers they can look forward to a good return on every pound, dollar, euro or yen.”

The Mayor is making several key speeches to promote London as “a place to invest in” and even to locate to, following its rating as top global financial centre’ in a survey last week published by the City Corporation.
