THE international M�decins du Monde medical aid charity’s UK wing is appealing for runners to sign up for the Great South’ race to raise funds for its world relief work.

The organisation’s Canary Wharf HQ in East London has places for the 10-mile BUPA road race on October 25.

The 21,000 taking part are running a flat, fast course through Portsmouth, passing Britain’s naval heritage including Nelson’s flagship from the Battle of Trafalgar HMS Victory and Henry VIII’s Mary Rose.

M�decins du Monde, with 185 projects in 60 countries. needs cash to send volunteer professionals overseas to provide medical care to those affected by natural disasters, conflict and extreme poverty. It also runs a free clinic in East London for people unable to get mainstream healthcare services.
