TWO men have been fined by magistrates after being caught urinating in the street in London’s East End.
The convictions were the first for breaching bye-laws since Tower Hamlets council began Enforcement patrols last year to tackle anti-social behaviour and environment’ crime.
Selim Ahmed and Mashood Alom were caught by one of the first patrols.
Ahmed, from Eric Street in Mile End, urinated through the gates of Woolmore Primary school. He was fined 65 by Thames magistrates. Alom, from Ida Street in Poplar, was caught in Ashton Street nearby. He was fined 40.
They were also ordered to pay 115 costs each. Urinating in public is an offence under Tower Hamlets bye-laws.
