Mile End hosts talk on faith at work
THE DIRECTOR of human rights group Liberty is speaking about faith in the workplace at a lecture at Queen Mary College. Leading civil liberties campaigner Shami Chakrabarti will be giving the lecture at the campus in Mile End Road on Tuesday March 23.

Leading civil liberties campaigner Shami Chakrabarti will be giving the lecture at the campus in Mile End Road on Tuesday March 23.
Liberty campaigns on religious freedom and represented an airport check-in clerk who got her employer's policy which stopped her wearing a crucifix at work overturned.
Ms Chakrabarti said: "If we really believe in freedom of thought, conscience and religion this must include the right to the faith or belief of your choice, the right to no faith and crucially to be a heretic to any religion."
