Train operators on the Fenchurch Street network are laying on extra trains and more seats serving east London and Essex during the Olympics.
Trains stopping at two stations serving Olympic venues on C2C’s Southend line, West Ham for the main stadium and Leigh-on-Sea for the mountain bike event at Hadleigh Farm, are getting 4,500 more seats every hour off-peak, the company pledged this week.
The company is also promising “no planned engineering work” for the duration of the 2012 Games and Paralympics.
