NEW timetables begin on the DLR network in East London on Monday to allow more automatic trains to run.
It follows 18 months of track-works which commuters have had to put up with while station platforms were being extended by 90ft to take longer trains from two to three carriages next year.
The work also includes a new viaduct at West India Quay separate tracks for trains from Bank into Canary Wharf in peak periods to improve journey times.
Three-car trains begin on the Bank-to-Lewisham branch next spring, passing through Shadwell, Limehouse, Canary Wharf, the Isle of Dogs and Greenwich.
This will be followed next summer with three-car trains introduced on the Stratford section through Poplar and Bow when the extension to Stratford International opens.
