Staff from London’s Morgan Stanley investment bankers are resting their legs this week following a gruelling 166-mile bike ride to Paris in just 24 hours.

The 150 riders have raised over £200,000 for Great Ormond Street Hospital children’s charity after setting off from Canary Wharf and going hell-for-leather via the Dieppe ferry to the company’s Paris offices.

The money from last week’s mile-for-mile sponsored cycle is paying for much-needed accommodation for parents of children in intensive care and other wards at Great Ormond Street.

The 24-hour Paris run ‘recycled’ their banking business energy for a worthy cause.

A new parent accommodation block, named Morgan Stanley House, is planned just a short walk from the hospital and means mums and dads can be there 24 hours a day, seven days a week, to support their child when it matters most.
