Most Bank Holiday highway roadworks lifted—but some stay
MOST roadworks are being suspended on major trunk routes over the holiday weekend to help keep traffic on the move, the Government’s Highways Agency has announced. But roadworks remain at 40 locations “for safety” due to open excavations, including two in East London and eight elsewhere in the Home Counties, motorists are warned
MOST roadworks are being suspended on major trunk routes over the holiday weekend to help keep traffic on the move, the Government’s Highways Agency has announced.
But roadworks remain at 40 locations “for safety” due to open excavations, including two in East London and eight elsewhere in the Home Counties, motorists are warned.
A total of 22 have been completed and 31 are being suspended between 6am Friday (August 28) and midnight on Bank Holiday Monday.
