Motorbike crash closes Limehouse tunnel

A MOTORCYCLIST was seriously injured in a crash involving a lorry while entering the A1203 Limehouse Link Tunnel in East London this afternoon (Tuesday). The man in his 30s was taken to Newham General Hospital and his condition was described as critical’ following the 12.35pm collision

A MOTORCYCLIST was seriously injured in a crash involving a lorry while entering the A1203 Limehouse Link Tunnel in East London this afternoon (Tuesday).

The man in his 30s was taken to Newham General Hospital and his condition was described as 'critical' following the 12.35pm collision.

The lorry driver was later arrested on suspicion of dangerous driving and was being held at an East London police station.

The eastbound tunnel was closed for several hours after the accident at the junction of The Highway and Butcher Row.
