DRIVERS travelling home last night were facing long delays along Hackney Road after a motorcyclist smashed into a car.
The crash at around 5.45pm at the junction with Minerva Street and Hackney Road in Bethnal Green brought rush hour traffic to a halt as the area was cordoned off.
The motorcyclist was taken to the Royal London Hospital in Whitechapel with broken ribs and Hackney Road was reopened 40 minutes later.
