MOTORISTS face diversions next weekend as the northbound Blackwall Tunnel is closed for engineering works.
The northbound tunnel will be closed from 9pm on Friday July 9 until 5am on Monday July 12.
Traffic will be diverted through the southbound tunnel whilst southbound traffic will be diverted to other crossings such as Tower Bridge, Rotherhithe Tunnel or the Dartford crossings.
Drivers are advised to allow extra time for their journeys.
The work will have a knock on effect as the routine maintenance closure of Rotherhithe Tunnel will change to 11:59pm on Friday to 7am on Saturday.
