STUDENTS from a Tower Hamlets school who are thought to be the first comprehensive school to win a Fringe First at the Edinburgh Festival are sharing their show with audiences closer to home in London.

The Mulberry Theatre Company of 15 to 18-year-olds based at Mulberry Girls School in Shadwell worked with their resident playwright Fin Kennedy to write and perform a new play The Unravelling which they took to the prestigious Edinburgh Festival.

The show was just one of 16 new plays out of 460 new plays entered to win a Fringe First this summer.

The play mixes reality with a fantasy story about London with Tower Hamlets features as a 'magical land' and the Tube as a gateway to the underworld.

Tickets for the show on Friday October 9 are free and have to be reserved from the school on 020 7790 6327.
