The mother of a Canary Wharf bomb victim has urged terror group ISIS to release British hostage Alan Henning.
The plea from Hamida Bashir follows the death of two American journalists and Brit David Haines, who was beheaded in a video released by ISIS at the weekend.
Mr Henning, who was working in Syria as an aid envoy when he was captured last Christmas, appears in the video and is feared to be the next victim.
Hamida, whose son died in the IRA bombing in 1996, said: “I’m begging IS to release the other aid work Alan Henning. “Please release Alan, the killing of innocent people must stop now I beg you.”
Jonathan Ganesh, president of Docklands Victims Association, said he was “appalled” by the murder of Mr Haines.
“I’m shocked because David only helped those in need,” he said.
“David’s courage, dignity and compassion was a credit to humanity.”
