THE foundation stone has been laid at a community centre for the start of a 4.4 million 'world class' youth project in London's East End.
It will run a wide range of services to help tackle some of the health and social problems in derived areas of Whitechapel and Spitalfields.
The 4.4 million project at Whitechapel's Osmani Centre in Underwood Road is due to be completed in a year's time, which will also include a bigger playground for Osmani Primary school.
Some of the cash comes from 'planning gain' form the Bishops Square office development at Spitalfields.
