A SECOND series of three-part ITV drama Whitechapel has been announced.
The second run will see Rupert Penry-Jones, Phil Davis and Steve Pemberton return as their original characters to tackle a copycat case of Kray twins-style gangster brutality.
The original series saw the trio solve the case of a modern-day Jack the Ripper.
ITV's Laura Mackie said: "Whitechapel II will be as audacious and as compelling as the first series, strengthened by further character development and very real personal jeopardy."
