A NIGHT OUT ended in tragedy when a man drowned after twice falling into a canal after a drinking night out in East London, an inquest heard.

Foysal Miah had been drinking before he fell into cold water in Shadwell Basin in October and had to be rescued by a friend.

But 25 minutes later he toppled in a second time and drowned.

Poplar coroner Dr Andrew Reid recorded a verdict of accidental death and was satisfied there were no suspicious circumstances.
