THE infamous Blind Beggar pub is due to be sold by its owners Enterprise Inns today (Monday).

The former haunt of East End gangsters Ronnie and Reggie Kray and the scene of the murder of George Cornell is due to be auctioned off at a sale hosted by Allsop auctioneers.

Enterprise hopes to get around �1.3 million for the Whitechapel Road pub, which they plan to lease back from the new owners in a bid to raise funds to dent its debt.

Wapping pub the Town of Ramsgate also appears in Allsop's auction catalogue and Enterprise hope to raise at least �950,000 from its sale.
