THE MAN charged to deliver an economic legacy to East London from the 2012 Olympics is kicking off a series of lectures about the games.

Andrew Altman who is the chief executive of the new Olympic Park will give a lecture called "The First Legacy Games: the physical and socio economic transformation of East London" at the London School of Economics at 6.30pm on Tuesday November 10.

Further lectures in the series include "Growing a New Piece of City: designing an Olympic legacy for 21st Century London" at The Urban Laboratory, University College London on Tuesday November 17 at 6.30pm and "The Art of Regeneration: creating an artistic and community legacy for London 2012" at Goldsmiths College, Centre for Urban and Community Research on Tuesday November 24 at 5pm.
