With just two years until the games begin, Lloyds TSB released a report showing the boom in prices in Tower Hamlets and other boroughs.
In 2005, the average property price in Bethnal Green was �234,690 - now it's �317,888.
This 35 per cent increase is mirrored in Bow - where average prices have leapt up from �222,269 to �292,805, an increase of 32 per cent.
