An open day and mini country market is being staged at the Cable Street Community Garden in Shadwell on Sunday week.
Guided tours are being laid on around the 50 plots tended by community members and their families, as well as a local history talk at 2pm and children’s activities.
The garden includes wildlife areas, ponds, traditional country hedgerow and a greenhouse, with stalls offering home-made produce, crafts and plants from 11am—all part of London’s Open Garden Squares Weekend, June 9, from 10am to 5pm, near Shadwell station (DLR/Overground interchange).
