THE East London Mosque is holding two open days to give the public a chance to look round and learn more about Islam.
The mosque on Whitechapel and the adjacent London Muslim Centre will be open from 11am to 5pm on both Sunday and Monday.
The mosque holds open weekends twice a year for visitors to find out about the beliefs, history and culture of the Muslim faith and organizers hope to promote understanding between communities and show how a mosque functions
Highlights include a viewing of a live prayer gathering as well as guided tours around the mosque which will go on throughout the two days. Guides will be on hand to answer questions and refreshments are available.
