Tower Hamlets Air Cadets are to hold an open evening next week in a bid to recruit new members.

The group are hoping to attract 13-17 year-olds to bolster their ranks by showing off the activities available to members.

The Tower Hamlets branch of the air cadets is the newest in London and the South East region – but is already the third largest in the capital.

Group leaders hope the lure of expeditions and flying, as well as the opportunity to gain first aid qualifications and the Duke of Edinburgh Award, will help increase membership.

The open evening is to be held at the Bow Territorial Army Centre in Mile End Road on Wednesday, April 17.
