Orient blow as Romain goes to City

Popular French midfielder has moved to the Sky Blues for undisclosed amount
Leyton Orient have been rocked by the news that inspirational French midfielder Romain Vincelot has left the club to join Coventry City.
The 29-year-old has been an integral part of the O’s team since joining in February 2013 and went on to make 96 appearances.
His performances last season were a rare bright spot for Orient as he scored four times in all competitions, including the winner in the Capital One Cup against Premier League side Aston Villa.
Vincelot suffered a medial knee ligament injury in March and missed the final two months of the season, watching as his team-mates suffered relegation. And now he has left to sign a two-year deal with League One side Coventry.

The Frenchman had 12 months remaining on his contract so Orient have received a transfer fee, but head coach Ian Hendon is not happy to lose the midfielder.
“Romain made it clear to me that he didn’t want to play at the club and in League Two,” the O’s head coach told the official club website.

“On that basis I have reluctantly agreed to let him go to Coventry for an undisclosed fee. I didn’t want to lose him, but I want players here that wholeheartedly want to play for the club and help us get back to League One as soon as possible.”
The sale of Vincelot takes the total number of players to officially leave Orient this summer up to 14.
