Charlie Lee netted on the stroke of half-time but strikers Macauley Bonne and Matt Harrold also found the net late on against the 10-men Moors at the Breyer Group Stadium to move them joint-top of the National League table.

The 48-year-old former Tottenham Hotspur defender had plenty of praise for Bonne as he slotted home the second goal of the game after a terrific pass from partner Josh Koroma.

“Josh showed great maturity, it was a good move and a great pass from Myles Judd, Josh done ever so well.

“I thought he’d left it too late, but what you’ve got to give credit to as well is the length of run that Macauley Bonne made to get on that pass, it was quite incredible as he was inside his own six yard box when we picked that ball up.”

Harrold came off the bench in the 82nd minute to replace James Dayton and fired home a rebound off a Bonne shot in the final minute of play to make it 3-0.

The 34-year-old has now netted twice from the bench in the last three fixtures to give him a strong chance of pushing for a starting place.

“I’m pleased for Matty, you know he is popping up in the right place at the right time, two goals that will do him no harm.

“He’s bringing us something different from the bench right now.”

While, also waiting in the wings is new signing Levi Lumeka, who joined the club on loan from Premier League side Crystal Palace last week.

The 20-year-old also came off the bench for the final few minutes as he replaced captain Jobi McAnuff.

“I’m pleased, we want to get him on the pitch and want to get him involved,” Edinburgh said.

“I said there needs to be an element of patience with him as it’s his first time playing men’s football so he’s got to understand how we work, how it works in this league, and also how he works.

He also praised his back line after putting their bodies on the line to help seal the three points for his side.

“We had to work hard for that tonight, keeper making saves, defenders making blocks but that’s what they’re there for.

“Really pleased with all the performances, incredible amount of effort going into it and that’s how it’s got to be if we’re going to continue this run.

“Credit to the players, that’s nine unbeaten and there is a real belief in the group but what we’ve got to do is make sure we keep hold of it as there is no better feeling right now.”

Edinburgh feels the crowd were electric during the victory as well despite the children heading back to school.

“Really pleased for a Tuesday night with the children going back to school our fans have come out in big numbers and the atmosphere at the end was electric.”
