Leyton Orient captain Jobi McAnuff has heaped praise on forward duo Macaulay Bonne and Josh Koroma after the pair both netted in their 3-1 win against Bromley.

The 37-year-old McAnuff, who also got on the scoresheet, believes the sky is the limit for 20-year-old Koroma who netted his sixth goal of the campaign.

The youngster has scored three goals in his last two outings and McAnuff believes he is now taking his game to the next level.

“The sky is the limit for him. I think his ability, what he is learning now and he is also getting that consistency in terms of week in, week out performances,” the former Jamaican international said.

“He was playing really well earlier in the season without scoring as many as he should and is now adding that next little bit to his game, being ruthless and taking his chances when they come. For me I just love to see the progress he is making.

“We’ve just got to stay on top of him, he’s got to stay on top of himself, really demand more of himself and keep working hard.

“As I said the sky is the limit for the boy.”

The 23-year-old Bonne netted the third O’s goal to move him on to 15 in the National League this term and former West Ham United man McAnuff feels that sealed the win.

“It’s always a killer punch,” he added. “I think ‘Macca’ deserved his goal, he seems to score every week but he worked so hard – even when he doesn’t score he brings so much to the team.

“His willingness to run, he stretches teams, and wins so many headers – he gets everything he deserves.

“Anything in and around the box there is no one else you want it to fall too.”

McAnuff also gave a special mention to substitute Dan Happe, who came on in the 45th minute to replace Marvin Ekpiteta.

He added: “Big credit to Dan Happe coming on, he’s been waiting a long time, but once again it just underlines the strength we’ve got in the squad and the attitude people have.

“It’s not always easy coming in when you haven’t been playing regularly. He came in and put in a performance. ‘Marv’ has been excellent for us, but big credit to him for stepping in and helping us get the result.”
