Residents are being asked to suggest potential new venues where they can cast their vote in future Tower Hamlets elections.
It’s part of a three-month review by the council looking at whether the borough’s polling stations have reasonable facilities and are easily accesible.
Re-shaping of ward boundaries is also being looked at following a recent review by the Boundary Commission which proposed changes to both the number of councillors and the ward boundaries in time for the town hall elections next May.
The deadline for suggestions closes on September 2013 and during the review details of the proposed polling stations will be published for consultation.
Any suggestions for polling stations should be sent by e-mail to electoralservices@towerhamlets.gov.uk or in writing (before the above deadline) to:The Electoral Services Manager, Tower Hamlets Town Hall, Mulberry Place, 5, Clove Crescent, London, E14 2BG.
