The best-dressed, smartest pooches and the ugliest mutts hit the dogwalk when Old Spitalfields Market stages its second annual Paw Pageant on Bank Holiday Monday the week after next.

Dogs compete for prizes such as ‘Dressed Up to the K-Nines’ and ‘Shoreditch Show Off’. There is also a specialist market selling gear and grub to pamper pets and a raffle in aid of Battersea Dogs & Cats Home.

A British Tweed canine couture collection is staged at 1pm and an agility training demonstration at 1.30pm, before the Paw Pageant itself from 2pm to 3.30pm on August 27 at the covered market in Brushfield Street, Spitalfields. Registration is �5 in advance or �8 on the day.
