MUMS and dads are getting some useful tips on moving their kids from primary to secondary school in London's East End next year.
A series of four 'drop in' help sessions is being arranged at the Stepney Parents' Advice Centre and Poplar's Ideas Store next month.
The sessions are for parents of children now in Year 6 of primary education who want advice and help in applying for a Year 7 Tower Hamlets secondary school places next September.
Advice is given in English and Bengali. Help in other languages is available, but parents need to call the advice centre for an appointment 020-7364 6489.
Sessions at the advice centre at 85 Harford Street, Stepney, off Mile End Road, are 10am to 2pm on October 12, 13 and 16, and at the Poplar Idea Store in Chrisp Street Market, off East India Dock Road, 5-7pm October 12.
