TRAVELLERS are advised to check before they travel this weekend as engineering works are due to affect some tube and overground lines and the DLR serving east London.

The Circle line will be completely suspended all weekend (Saturday July 10 and Sunday July 11), due to Thameslink upgrade work at Farringdon and Crossrail work at Liverpool Street.

The District line will be suspended between Whitechapel and Upney eastbound and between Barking and Whitechapel westbound all weekend due to signalling upgrade work.

Replacement bus services will run between Whitechapel, Stepney Green, Mile End, Bow Road, Bromley-by-Bow and Canning Town.

There will also be a bus service between Mile End, Stratford, Upton Park, East Ham, Barking, Upney. The Hammersmith & City line will be suspended between Edgware Road and Barking all weekend due to Thameslink upgrade work at Farringdon and Crossrail work at Liverpool Street and passengers are advised to use alternative routes, including rail replacement buses.

The Metropolitan line will be suspended between Wembley Park and Aldgate all weekend for line upgrade work.

Docklands Light Railway services will be suspended between Stratford and Bow Church on Sunday and a bus replacement service will run between Stratford, Pudding Mill Lane and Bow Lane.
