Plans for more than 600 homes, along with shops and restaurant, between Bow Roundabout and Three Mills, the world’s oldest tidal mill, could get the go ahead tomorrow (Thurs).

London Thames Gateway Development Corporation will be considering the plans by East Thames Group and Southern Housing Group for the development which lies between the Blackwall Tunnel, Hancock Road, Three Mill Lane and the River Lea Navigation.

Resident Grenvile Mills has applied to speak at the meeting to raise concerns about the lack of consultation he believes there has been among residents about the plans.

He also wants to raise concerns about the architecture and scale of the development, which he does not believe fits in with the surrounding environment.

The application will be heard at the Old Town Hall, The Broadway, in Stratford, at 6pm.
