HALLOWE'EN horrors set fire to a shopping trolley beneath a climbing frame in a park in Stepney causing thousands of pounds worth of damage.

Fire crews from Shadwell were called out to the park off Stepney Way on Hallowe'en night to tackle the blaze which had melted plastic on the metal climbing frame.

It's estimated that the damage could cost thousands of pounds to put right.

The damage has been reported to Tower Hamlets council workers.
