Local resident will host event called ‘Journeys in a Tijuana Taxi’ at the Northcote Arms with all money raised going towards the O’s cause

Plymouth Argyle fan Dan Magill has got behind Leyton Orient’s cause by dedicating one of his latest events to LOFT’s Regeneration Fund.

The local resident usually puts on a night at the Northcote Arms, 110 Grove Green Road, Leytonstone every month called Closet Vinyl.

When speaking to the landlady recently, the pair came up with an idea of how to raise funds for LOFT’s Regeneration Fund.

Magill will be DJing using only vinyl records during the duration of the pub’s opening hours (12pm until 1am) on Saturday (April 15).

All money raised will be paid directly into the savetheorient.com account and the event has been titled ‘Journeys in a Tijuana Taxi’.

Magill will be trying to raise money through bucket donations, a raffle, a football quiz and by asking people to pay £2 to request a song.

He said: “I am hoping that the Leyton Orient fans will support this cause along with the local community and we can raise a couple of quid.”

With Orient playing at Luton Town on Good Friday, the event is a great way for O’s fans to spend their Easter weekend.

Margill will be DJing for 13 consecutive hours, so support him and the east Londoners’ cause by getting along to the Northcote Arms.
